Embedding Social Justice
Last year, we made a commitment. A commitment to not just simply express revulsion at ongoing structural discrimination and violent oppression around the world, but to act. To act by realising our shortcomings and working on incorporating social justice more thoroughly and purposefully throughout the curriculum and the school culture. Teaching social justice, teaching active anti-racism, teaching the importance of standing up for the human rights of all peoples, are essential aspects of who we are as a school. But we know we can do better.
After all, returning to better is not a destination but a path. Now, we invite you to join us as we explore some of this year’s learning journeys at ISB in the area of social justice.
